Job summary

Astreya is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to design and operate core platform capabilities for FedRAMP High and DoD IL5 environments. You will own large features, design platform APIs, and establish paved-road onboarding patterns for federal systems.

You will mentor engineers, build reusable CI components, and contribute to automated, auditable deployment pipelines, with a focus on reliability and security in regulated environments.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in SRE, DevOps, Infrastructure, Platform Engineering, or Systems Engineering.
• Proficiency in Python, Go, Ruby, or Bash for automation and tooling.
• Strong experience with AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, and modern CI/CD systems.
• Proven ability to manage production environments with robust observability, alerting, incident management, and post-mortem practices.
• Familiarity with compliance requirements, auditability, and change control models in regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and harden platform capabilities for FedRAMP High and IL5 compliance, including centralized platform APIs and progressive delivery controls.
• Move federal promotion workflows toward automated, gated, and fully auditable deployment pipelines.
• Build paved-road platform blueprints to onboard services into federal environments safely and consistently.
• Participate in production support and incident response for platform services, focusing on federal clusters, runbooks, and operational dashboards.
• Provide technical feedback and guidance to less experienced engineers while raising reliability and security standards.
