Job summary

Slingshot Aerospace is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure, using Infrastructure as Code. You will manage CI pipelines, support Linux system administration, and ensure performance, availability, and security while collaborating with software developers to improve deployment workflows.

We value proactive problem-solving and cross-team collaboration. Location is Colorado Springs; salary range is $117,000-$180,000 with TS clearance preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and maintaining scalable cloud infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD and deployment automation.
• Familiarity with DevSecOps practices.

Responsibilities

• Partner with offshore and onshore teams to design, implement, and scale cloud-native infrastructure.
• Architect, build, and maintain Kubernetes-based environments powering production systems.
• Lead Infrastructure as Code initiatives (Terraform) to automate provisioning and environment consistency on AWS.
• Design, implement, and optimize CI/CD pipelines to improve deployment velocity and reliability.
• Integrate and operationalize MLOps practices for ML workflows.
• Embed DevSecOps practices across the platform with security controls and monitoring.
• Drive automation to reduce manual processes and increase reliability.
• Collaborate with Platform and Engineering teams to gather requirements and improve architecture.
• Monitor performance, identify bottlenecks, and optimize availability and cost.
