PTR Global is seeking a senior DevOps/SRE professional for a long-term contract in Sunnyvale, CA. The role requires hybrid onsite work (Tue–Thu onsite; Mon & Fri remote) with Day 1 onsite in Sunnyvale and a preference for local candidates.

The ideal candidate has 5–10 years of DevOps/SRE experience, strong AWS/Python skills, and hands-on Couchbase experience. Remote alternatives are not favored. This role involves production systems, high availability, and scalable infrastructure.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of experience in DevOps, SRE, Cloud Infrastructure, or a related engineering role.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS.
• Strong understanding of DevOps and SRE principles, including reliability, monitoring, automation, incident management, and capacity planning.
• 2–5 years of Python experience, with the ability to develop automation and operational tools.
• 2–5 years of AWS S3 experience and familiarity with AWS storage and cloud services.
• 2–5 years of Terraform experience and strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code.
• At least 1 year of hands-on Couchbase experience.
• Experience with Linux administration, networking, troubleshooting, and production systems.
• Experience developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in distributed and cloud environments.
• Experience working in production environments with high availability and scalability requirements.
