Job summary

Envision Innovative Solutions is seeking a Senior DevOps Software Engineer to join our team in Annapolis Junction, Maryland. You will work across the software development life cycle, including deployment, automation, cloud infrastructure and production support.

The role requires extensive SWE experience, strong DevOps skills, and expertise with Docker, Kubernetes and cloud platforms. A TS/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph is required for consideration.

Envision Innovative Solutions is seeking a motivated, and customer-oriented Senior DevOps Software Engineer t to join our team at Annapolis Junction, Maryland. The ideal candidate must be comfortable working across the software development life-cycle, including deployment, automation, cloud infrastructure, and production support. This role also requires software engineering experience who can support cloud-native deployments and DevOps-related activities.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Experience in designing, building, testing and deploying changes to existing software


• Experience in enhanced infrastructure security protocols


• Knowledge in Identifying manual processes that can be automated


• Experience in maintaining and improving cloud infrastructure


• Automate code integration, testing, and deployment to deliver product features to production securely and efficiently.


• Provision and manage environments using automation tools instead of manual server configurations.


• Configure logging, monitoring, and alerting systems to proactively detect bottlenecks and resolve production issues.


• Manage containerized applications to ensure seamless scaling across platforms.


• Work directly with the infrastructure and platform team to remove workflow barriers and streamline technical processes.


• Debug existing software and correct defects


• Provide recommendations for improving documentation and software development process standards

Required Skills:

• Fourteen ( 14) years' experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.

Desired Skills:

• CI/CD Tools: Familiarity with continuous integration frameworks such as GitLab CI, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.


• Infrastructure Tools: Experience with IaC tools like Terraform or Ansible.


• Container Platforms: Working knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.


• Cloud Experience: Proficiency with major cloud service providers (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)

Security Clearance Requirement:

• Current/Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph.

The projected compensation range for this position is $217,000.00-$225,000.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
