Job summary

Guild Mortgage Company is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to design, implement, and manage automation, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud environments. You will collaborate with Development, DataOps, QA, and Operations to ensure secure, scalable, and highly available deliverables.

The role emphasizes containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), observability, and efficient release management while maintaining security and compliance across projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 6+ years demonstrated work experience in IT/DevOps.
• Expert at Linux/Unix systems administration, provisioning, monitoring, and troubleshooting in a 24x7 environment.
• Deep knowledge of high availability concepts and scalable multi-site deployments.
• Proven experience with software deployment, versioning (Git) and release management processes.
• Proficient at provisioning, automated configuration management, and containerization tools (Jenkins, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Chef, Puppet).
• Experienced in cloud hosting solutions (AWS, Azure, GCP) and observability platforms.
• Familiar with Agile methodologies and Jira for CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Identify, design, architect, and document automation strategies.
• Partner with developers to implement high-performing CI pipelines.
• Ensure software engineering, networking, and security best practices are followed.
• Champion DevOps practices and cloud solutions across teams.
• Utilize Docker/Kubernetes, registries, and CDN experience to optimize deployments.
• Monitor uptime and performance; perform root cause analysis.
• Write technical documentation and train staff on new tools.
• Collaborate with Software Development, QA, and Architects to improve release reliability.
• Conduct tooling research, proofs of concept, installation, and configuration.
