Job summary

Guild Mortgage Company is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to design, implement, and manage automation, run-time environments, and CI/CD pipelines. You will collaborate with Development, DataOps, QA, Customer Support, and Operations to ensure security, stability, and performance of deliverables.

The role emphasizes containerization with Docker/Kubernetes, cloud solutions, and scalable, fault-tolerant operations across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 6+ years demonstrated work experience or an equivalent combination of related training and experience.
• Expert at Linux/Unix systems administration, provisioning, configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting Web Servers in a 24x7 customer facing environment.
• Deep knowledge of high performance operations and scalable multi-site implementations.
• Proven experience with large-scale software deployment and release management.

Responsibilities

• Identify, design, architect, implement, and document automation strategies.
• Partner with developers to implement high-performing continuous integration pipelines.
• Understand software engineering, networking, and security best practices and their impact on efficiency.
• Evangelize and contribute to effective use of DevOps practices and Cloud solutions.
• Strong containerization skills (Docker / Kubernetes) and container registries.
• Continually seek ways to optimize and improve operational aspects of IT solutions.
• Utilize advanced Cloud Provider service-oriented skill sets.
• Collaborate with Software Development, QA, and Architects to improve build and deployment processes.
• Assist in problem identification and mitigation for cloud redundancy, security, and scalability.
• Conduct DevOps tool research, evaluation, proof of concept, installation, configuration, and training.
• Build tools to monitor system capacity and performance and provide reports.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues promptly.
• Monitor infrastructure to maximize uptime.
• Perform root cause analysis.
• Write technical documentation.
• Participate in daily stand-ups and weekly planning for DevOps tasks.
• Keep abreast of modern technologies and present to staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
