Job summary

Skygate Advisors seeks a seasoned DevOps Engineer to join our Chicago, hybrid team. You will design and optimize CI/CD pipelines, manage Kubernetes clusters (EKS/ECS), and build observability stacks across client environments.

You will automate infrastructure with Terraform or Pulumi, implement GitOps practices, and contribute to performance improvements. The role requires 5+ years of DevOps experience and strong scripting; a cloud certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years DevOps or platform engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency with Kubernetes (EKS) and Docker.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines in GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline.
• Proficiency with Terraform or Pulumi for infrastructure-as-code.
• Experience with observability tools (DataDog, Grafana, Prometheus, CloudWatch).
• Scripting proficiency in Python or Bash.
• AWS DevOps Engineer certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines for client engineering teams
• Design and manage EKS and ECS container orchestration platforms
• Implement comprehensive observability and alerting stacks
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management
• Conduct platform performance assessments and produce recommendations
• Help clients adopt GitOps and DevOps best practices
