Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Software Engineer III to join the Payments Technology team. You will design and deliver trusted, scalable technology products within an agile environment, focusing on security, reliability, and CI/CD automation.

Responsibilities include building secure production code, Jenkins pipelines, and cloud-enabled architectures, while collaborating with cybersecurity and engineering teams to embed controls and improve delivery speed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience
• Ability to evaluate, validate and refine AI-generated outputs for correctness, performance and security
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD, cloud security, and agile practices

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and troubleshoot software with a focus on CI/CD and release automation for Payments platforms.
• Create secure, high-quality production code and Jenkins pipelines; shell scripting for build/test/deploy automation.
• Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex apps and ensure design constraints are met by code.
• Gather and analyze data for continuous improvement, including CI/CD telemetry like build times and deployment success.
• Identify hidden problems in data to improve coding hygiene, reliability, and reusable automation.
• Contribute to DevOps communities and promote secure SDLC practices and cloud-native delivery.
• Leverage enterprise AI coding tools to improve quality and speed, with peer review and testing.
• Maintain delivery tooling operations including incident triage and root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity to embed controls in pipelines for regulated workloads.
