Job summary

Intramotev is hiring a Senior DevOps Engineer in St. Louis to own the CI/CD pipeline architecture and internal server/cloud infrastructure end-to-end. You will lead GitHub Actions pipelines, drive tooling standards, and mentor a team of engineers in a hands-on, senior IC role.

You will oversee lifecycle support, runbooks, on-call practices, and documentation to scale a growing DevOps function while collaborating closely with software engineers on testing strategy and infrastructure design.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years in DevOps, Software Engineering, Build/Release Engineering, or Systems Administration, including owning CI/CD or infrastructure architecture decisions.
• Willingness to expand into new technical areas beyond your current scope.
• Hands-on experience with GitHub Actions or comparable CI/CD platforms at scale.
• Working knowledge of AWS, GCP, or Azure, including infrastructure design tradeoffs.
• Strong Linux systems administration and shell scripting experience.
• Experience owning CI/CD and infrastructure decisions, not just executing under others.
• Track record mentoring less-senior engineers or setting technical standards for a team.
• U.S. Person; fluent English in written and spoken form.

Responsibilities

• Own GitHub Actions CI/CD pipeline architecture and improve reliability and developer experience.
• Lead internal server and cloud infrastructure strategy for availability, performance, and scaling.
• Set standards for internal engineering tools and Infrastructure-as-Code practices.
• Own the architecture of the automated testing framework within the pipeline and expand coverage.
• Diagnose and resolve infrastructure and deployment issues for fielded systems.
• Establish runbooks, on-call basics, and documentation practices for a growing DevOps function.
• Mentor less-senior engineers and codify institutional knowledge.
