Job summary

EPAM Systems is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to own and operate a critical application security tool (Checkmarx) as part of a Service Administration role. You will co-own day-to-day operations, r esponsible for upgrades, maintenance, and continuous improvement across stakeholders including application teams and vendors.

The role emphasizes CI/CD pipeline troubleshooting, vendor coordination, and platform enhancements with a focus on reliability and secure software delivery.

Qualifications

• 5+ years administering Checkmarx or similar app security platforms.
• Proficient in CI/CD scan integration configuration.
• Experience with vendor management and coordinating feature requests.
• Strong platform administration and incident recovery knowledge.
• English proficiency at B2 or higher.

Responsibilities

• Manage central configuration of the platform, ensure smooth operation, and handle upgrades and maintenance activities.
• Investigate and resolve issues reported by users, troubleshoot scan execution in CI/CD pipelines, and act on operational incidents, including recovery.
• Communicate with Checkmarx vendors on issues, feature requests, and timelines.
• Participate in regular vendor meetings and escalate critical issues when needed.
• Contribute to the SAP Piper pipeline solution, including bug fixes and development of new features.
• Configure and troubleshoot scan integrations.
• Suggest improvements related to monitoring, tooling, and features, and evaluate new product capabilities.
• Coordinate adoption plans for new platform capabilities.
• Validate vendor fixes and patches before production deployment.
• Provide feedback that influences product roadmap discussions
