hatch I.T. is partnering with Expression to recruit a Senior DevOps Engineer for the NTIA FSDS program within the U.S. Department of Commerce.

The role focuses on designing, building, and maintaining secure Azure infrastructure and automated pipelines across multiple cloud environments, with a strong emphasis on production readiness and security. You will own infrastructure code, mentor junior engineers, and establish repeatable processes for deployment, monitoring, and incident response while

Qualifications

• Active Secret clearance or higher is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field with 5+ years of DevOps/cloud engineering experience (or 8+ years without a degree).
• Experience designing/operating Azure Commercial and Azure Government infrastructure.
• Experience building Azure DevOps YAML pipelines for automated builds and deployments.
• Experience delivering in classified or restricted federal environments.
• Proficiency with Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates, or comparable IaC tools.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, deployment, and maintenance of Azure infrastructure for unclassified and classified systems.
• Create reusable IaC using Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.
• Manage container platforms with Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm.
• Implement secure networking, IAM, secrets management, and config management.
• Improve consistency, scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency across environments.
