Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to design and automate secure, reusable enterprise CI/CD pipelines and modular Azure infrastructure. You will collaborate across DevOps, QA, security, and infrastructure teams to accelerate trusted software delivery.

Key responsibilities include building GitHub Actions pipelines, securing deployments, and implementing robust Azure architectures. This hybrid role requires 3 days/week onsite in Teaneck, NJ.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional DevOps/CI/CD engineering experience.
• Advanced practical experience designing GitHub Actions pipelines and workflows.
• Strong Git/GitHub expertise including branch protection and governance.
• Strong Infrastructure as Code with Azure Bicep, modular templates and linting.
• Strong PowerShell and Python scripting for automation.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain, and optimize reusable enterprise CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
• Automate secure deployments and promotion across environments with approvals, artifacts, secrets, and protections.
• Implement GitHub governance, branch protections, Rulesets, PR validation, and security gates.
• Design and automate secure Azure environments using modular Bicep templates and reusable modules.
• Develop automation in PowerShell and Python for provisioning, validation, and tooling.
