Job summary

PCMI in Park Ridge, IL is seeking a Sr DevOps Engineer to own release tooling and CI/CD pipelines. You will manage TeamCity, Octopus Deploy, and Azure DevOps pipelines, and collaborate with development, QA, and operations to improve deployment reliability and observability.

This role requires 5+ years in Release/DevOps, strong Azure expertise, scripting with PowerShell, and experience with containers. Remote work is possible within allowed states; occasional on-site in Illinois may be required.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience.
5+ years prior experience in a Release Engineer/DevOps Engineer role.
Knowledge of Azure DevOps, Bicep, Terraform, TeamCity, Octopus, PowerShell, .NET, MSSQL, OpenTelemetry, Grafana, Dynatrace, or equivalent observability stack.
Strong understanding of Git version control.
Extensive experience with CI/CD tools, specifically TeamCity and Octopus Deploy.
Proficiency in scripting languages, particularly PowerShell.
Deep knowledge of Azure cloud.
Experience with Windows Server administration.
Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
Familiarity with infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible).

Responsibilities

Oversee the process of releasing PCMI software to clients.
Act as an SME in building and delivering software and DevOps using best practices.
Troubleshoot issues during build/deployment processes.
Design, implement, and manage automated processes for infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and deployment.
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, TeamCity and Octopus Deploy.
Create infrastructure-as-code to enable repeatable infrastructure changes.
Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure on Azure.
Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams on DevOps best practices.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues in development, test, and production environments.
Implement and manage observability and alerting solutions.
Support efforts to improve system security and compliance.
Document processes and procedures for internal use.
