Job summary

Devopsroles is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to own the infrastructure and delivery processes that support our production services in a cloud-focused environment. You will collaborate with engineering teams to build, deploy, monitor, secure, and operate scalable Azure-based environments.

You will design IaC with Terraform, manage AKS clusters, and drive CI/CD pipelines across multi-region deployments while ensuring observability and strong security practices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of DevOps engineering experience with strong Azure expertise.
• Hands-on with designing and implementing large-scale Azure solutions.
• Proven production experience with AKS, private clusters, upgrades, autoscaling, and incident response.
• Advanced Terraform experience at production scale.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to design reliable solutions.
• Experience with CI/CD and modern DevOps practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure on Azure and Kubernetes (AKS).
• Manage production-grade AKS clusters, including networking, node pools, autoscaling, and upgrades.
• Own IaC using Terraform, including modules, state management, and multi-environment deployments.
• Design and maintain advanced CI/CD pipelines for secure, efficient delivery from development to production.
• Implement monitoring and observability across Kubernetes and Azure services.
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure, networking, identity, and production issues.
• Apply cloud security best practices including vulnerability scanning and centralized secrets.
• Design multi-region HA and disaster recovery with failover/failback procedures.

We are looking for a talented Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team and take ownership of the infrastructure and delivery processes that support our production services. You’ll work closely with engineering teams to build, deploy, monitor, secure, and operate scalable cloud environments.

Project details

• Focus: Azure, AKS, Terraform, CI/CD, cloud infrastructure, security, observability, and cloud migration.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain highly available and cost-efficient cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure and Kubernetes (AKS).
• Manage production-grade AKS clusters, including private networking, node pools, autoscaling, workload identity, ingress, certificates, and cluster upgrades.
• Own Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, including reusable modules, state management, workspaces, and multi-environment deployments.
• Design and maintain advanced CI/CD pipelines for secure and efficient application delivery from development through production.
• Implement monitoring and observability across Kubernetes, applications, and Azure services.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure, networking, identity, and production issues.
• Apply cloud security best practices, including vulnerability scanning, threat modeling, and centralized secrets management.
• Design and maintain multi-region high availability and disaster recovery solutions, including failover and failback procedures.
• Collaborate closely with application engineering teams to establish and improve operational standards.
• Support cloud migration initiatives, including workloads moving between Azure and Google Cloud.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in a DevOps Engineering role with strong Azure expertise.
• Hands-on experience designing and implementing large-scale Azure solutions.
• Proven production experience with AKS, including private clusters, upgrades, autoscaling, and incident response.
• Advanced, production-level Terraform experience.
• Strong ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and design reliable solutions.
• Experience with CI/CD and modern DevOps practices.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Azure certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Azure DevOps Engineer Expert are a plus.
• English: B2+ / Upper-Intermediate or higher.
• EST business hours.

Technical Skills

• Azure: Entra ID, RBAC, Managed Identities, Workload Identity, Key Vault, VNets, Subnets, Private Endpoints, Private DNS.
• Kubernetes: AKS, Helm, Docker, container registries, microservices.
• IaC: Terraform.
• CI/CD: Azure Pipelines, GitHub Actions, Argo CD, Flux, or similar.
• Scripting: PowerShell, Bash, Python; experience with Go, C#/.NET, or Node.js is a plus.
• Configuration Management: Ansible, Chef, Puppet, or similar.
• Networking: VPN, firewalls, hybrid connectivity, network security.
• Databases & Cloud Services: Azure SQL Managed Instance, Cosmos DB, Redis, Storage, Functions.
• Observability: Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, KQL, Datadog, Grafana, or similar.
• Security: Cloud security principles, penetration testing, SOC 2, ISO 27001, PCI DSS.
• Multi-cloud: Experience with GCP/GKE, cross-cloud networking and identity, or supporting cloud migration projects is a strong advantage.
