Job summary

acuCyber seeks a Senior DevOps Engineer to design, automate, and sustain cloud infrastructure and secure deployment environments supporting mission applications and core services. The role blends infrastructure as code, Kubernetes deployment, and automated security testing in AWS.

Work with software teams to standardize environments and move services into scalable, reliable deployments. Charleston, SC is preferred, with NCR consideration forqualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience building and maintaining cloud infrastructure
• Experience automating deployments with IaC and configuration management
• Proficiency with Kubernetes and OpenShift in production environments
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and security tooling

Responsibilities

• Build, automate, and maintain AWS infrastructure for development, testing, and operations.
• Create repeatable deployments with Ansible and IaC to minimize drift.
• Deploy and operate containerized apps using Kubernetes and OpenShift.
• Design and manage CI/CD pipelines with automated security checks.
• Configure DevOps toolchain, registries, artifacts, and environments.
• Integrate automated security testing into delivery workflows and remediate vulnerabilities.
• Support GovCloud deployments and IL5 requirements.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting for reliability and capacity planning.
• Manage platform access controls and secrets handling within deployment workflows.
• Troubleshoot Linux, networking, storage, and container orchestration issues.
• Automate patching, deployment validation, rollback, and recovery processes.
• Document configurations and procedures, assist in implementation plans and security reports.
• Evaluate tools via PoC to improve deployment speed and reliability.
