Job summary

DigiCert is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to advance infrastructure, automation, and reliability at scale. You will lead design and implementation across cloud, on-prem, and virtualization platforms, shaping tooling and automation strategies.

The role emphasizes operational excellence, SecOps mindset, and collaboration with diverse technical teams, including mentoring and on-call responsiveness.

Qualifications

• Strong Linux administration with hardware interactions.
• Proficiency in Ansible, Bash, Python, Terraform, and Packer.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services and provisioning tools.
• Experience with datacenter operations and zero-touch provisioning.
• Experience configuring monitoring systems and observability dashboards.
• Ability to lead, mentor, and influence engineering teams.
• Security-minded with operations focus.

Responsibilities

• Automate infrastructure and ensure 100% service availability.
• Perform forensic system administration and troubleshoot Linux systems.
• Champion SecOps with secure automation and hardened Linux administration.
• Lead DevOps practices including CI/CD, IaC, and zero-touch provisioning.
• Handle release management, incident management, capacity planning, and readiness.
• Mentor DevOps and engineering teams; promote learning and improvement.
• Identify opportunities to increase system resiliency and define automation strategy.
• Participate in on-call rotation with strong customer empathy and responsiveness to incidents.
• Document SOPs and system runbooks; prototype new tech in cloud, virtualization, and hardware.
