About the Role

Our client, a rapidly growing technology services firm, is seeking a highly experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join their innovative team in Queenstown, Eastern Cape. This role offers a hybrid work model, combining the benefits of in-office collaboration with the flexibility of remote work. You will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and managing robust CI/CD pipelines, automating infrastructure provisioning, and ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of our client's cloud-based environments. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of DevOps principles, extensive experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), and proficiency in scripting and automation tools. Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable and reliable CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment processes.
• Implement and manage cloud infrastructure on platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation).
• Develop and maintain automation scripts for system provisioning, configuration management, and operational tasks.

• Ensure the security and compliance of cloud environments.
• Collaborate with development and QA teams to streamline the software development lifecycle.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; equivalent experience will be considered.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in DevOps, system administration, or software engineering with a focus on automation.
• Proven experience designing and managing CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI).
• Strong proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible).
• Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts and security best practices.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
• Experience with microservices architectures is a plus.
