Job summary

Confluence Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to accelerate a major platform transformation. You will design and scale CI/CD pipelines, implement infrastructure as code, and enable rapid, reliable deployments in a cloud-first Azure environment.

You'll work across engineering teams focusing on automation, reliability, and scalability rather than feature work, with opportunities to shape standards and tooling across the DevOps foundations.

Qualifications

• Experience in DevOps, SRE, or platform engineering roles.
• Hands-on with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform essential).
• Designing and managing CI/CD pipelines.
• Cloud platforms (Azure preferred, AWS also considered).
• Containerisation (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Monitoring/observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
• Scripting or coding (Python, PowerShell).
• Understand security, compliance, and deployment practices.
• Comfortable working across infrastructure and development teams.
• Experience supporting .NET or web-based applications.
• Exposure to hybrid/enterprise environments (cloud and on-prem).
• Experience with release strategies (blue-green/canary).
• Exposure to financial services or data platforms.
• Modern cloud architecture patterns.

We are hiring for a Senior DevOps Engineer to support a major platform transformation. You’ll join a team modernising a core solution, moving from a legacy environment to a cloud first architecture on Azure.

This role is focused on building and scaling the platform that underpins our applications. You’ll design and optimise CI/CD pipelines, deliver infrastructure as code, and enable developers to deploy and operate systems more efficiently and reliably.

You’ll work closely with engineering teams, but your primary focus will be on automation, infrastructure, and deployment processes, rather than building product features.

You’ll be joining at a point where the DevOps foundations are still evolving, so there is real opportunity to shape standards, tooling, and ways of working.

More about the Location: This role will likely be primarily remote, with some office working on occasion. We are hiring in Pittsburgh or Boston, but will consider those in the north east US. Preference will be shown to those within a commutable distance of the above offices.
