7Seventy in the United States is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to own the infrastructure for a growing fintech platform. You will design and operate fast, safe pipelines, reproducible infrastructure, and cost management to support scalable delivery.

The role demands deep AWS expertise, strong IaC, CI/CD, observability, SLOs, and production incident processes, with a focus on regulated banking compliance and secure operations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or Platform Engineering roles.
• Experience as an early or solo infrastructure hire is strongly preferred.
• Deep hands-on expertise with AWS and production Infrastructure as Code.
• Strong experience building CI/CD pipelines for reliable software delivery.
• Observability expertise including SLOs and incident response.
• Ability to operate in regulated environments with SOC 2/ISO 27001 awareness.

Responsibilities

About the Role

This opportunity is for a Senior DevOps Engineer to take end-to-end ownership of infrastructure for a growing financial technology platform. The role is responsible for making software delivery fast and safe through reliable build, test, and deployment pipelines, reproducible Infrastructure as Code, progressive rollouts, fast rollbacks, monitoring, alerting, incident response, and infrastructure cost management.

The position requires deep experience with AWS, Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, observability, SLOs, and production incident processes. The infrastructure supports regulated financial institutions, making change management, access controls, audit logging, SOC 2 compliance, and bank due-diligence requirements important parts of the role.

What You'll Do

• Own the build, test, and deployment pipeline to enable fast, safe software delivery with progressive rollouts, rapid rollbacks, and strong deployment confidence.
• Build and enforce fully reproducible infrastructure environments using Infrastructure as Code.
• Define and meet uptime targets that financial institution customers contractually depend on.
• Build and improve monitoring, alerting, and incident response capabilities to identify production issues before they affect customers.
• Mature the on-call practice into a structured, repeatable operational process.
• Implement change management, access controls, and audit logging that generate appropriate evidence for regulated financial institution requirements.
• Partner closely with the security function to support ongoing SOC 2 compliance and bank due-diligence requirements.
• Own infrastructure cost management and improve cloud efficiency as the platform and customer base grow.

Qualifications

Required Experience

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or Platform Engineering roles.
• Experience as an early or solo infrastructure hire is strongly preferred.

Required Skills

• Deep hands-on expertise with AWS or another major cloud provider and production Infrastructure as Code.
• Strong experience building CI/CD pipelines that enable efficient and reliable software delivery for engineering teams.
• Strong observability expertise, including experience instrumenting production systems, defining SLOs, and operating incident response processes.
• Ability to operate effectively in regulated or compliance-heavy environments, or the ability to quickly learn requirements such as SOC 2 and ISO 27001.
• Strong automation mindset, with the ability to replace manual processes with repeatable mechanisms and clearly document infrastructure and operational systems.
• Pragmatic infrastructure judgment, including the ability to distinguish immediate infrastructure needs from requirements that become appropriate at a larger organizational scale.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in fintech, banking, or another regulated industry.
• Experience supporting multi-tenant SaaS architecture.
• Database operations experience, including backups, migrations, and performance management.
• Security-adjacent infrastructure experience, including secrets management, network segmentation, and least-privilege IAM.
