Job summary

Archer in collaboration with MANTECH seeks a Senior DevOps Engineer in Herndon, VA to deliver automation and big data analytics for the IC community. You will join a cross-disciplinary team of software developers, systems engineers, network engineers, and data engineers to build software enabling customer networks to operate at scale.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science or similar technical discipline with 10+ years of technical experience or HS diploma with 14+ years of experience
• 11+ years’ experience in DevOps, front end, or full stack development
• Experience with Bash scripting
• Experience working within AWS or similar cloud environments
• Experience with Linux administration and systems design
• Experience creating CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with security compliance, configuration management, and patching

Responsibilities

• Deploying and provisioning AWS resources including EC2, S3, RDS, IAM roles, and VPC configurations
• Building, maintaining, and troubleshooting CI/CD processes using GitLab and GitHub
• Running routine vulnerability scans, applying patches, and updating cloud and physical infrastructures for security compliance
• Designing and maintaining Kubernetes and EKS clusters for high availability and productivity
• Collaborating with stakeholders to ensure complete and functional systems meeting requirements
• Recommending and implementing process and policy improvements when approved

MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team in Herndon, VA. The Senior DevOps Engineer will leverage their technical background to help deliver automation and big data analytics for the IC community. You will be trained in DevOps and work alongside a collaborative team of Software Developers, Systems Development Engineers, Network Engineers, and Data Engineers to develop unique software that enables customer networks to safely operate at scale.

Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To

• Deploying and provisioning AWS resources including EC2, S3, RDS, IAM roles, and VPC configurations to support scalable architecture
• Building, maintaining, and troubleshooting continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes using GitLab and GitHub
• Running routine vulnerability scans, applying patches, and updating cloud and physical infrastructures to ensure security compliance
• Designing and maintaining Kubernetes and EKS clusters to ensure high availability and productivity for the development team
• Collaborating with stakeholders to ensure complete and functional systems that meet all requirements
• Recommending, and when approved, implementing process and policy improvements

Minimum Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science or similar technical discipline and 10+ years’ technical experience or High School Diploma and 14+ years of technical experience
• 11+ years’ experience with DevOps, front end development or full stack development
• Experience with Bash scripting
• Experience working within AWS or similar cloud environments
• Experience working with Linux administration and systems design
• Experience creating CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with network documentation including security compliance, configuration management, and patching.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Kubernetes, containerized workloads, and infrastructure orchestration using Terraform.
• Expertise in JavaScript/ECMASCRIPT, including code stitching, minimization, and Restful API development.
• Knowledge of automated hardware appliance deployment, PKI infrastructure, and encryption at rest services.
• Experience working across a large team to drive technical agendas and working with complex, intertwined systems

Clearance Requirements:

Current/active TS/SCI with polygraph is required

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.
