Job Summary:

In this role, you will be responsible for bridging the gap between software development and IT operations, ensuring smooth, efficient, and reliable software delivery. You will automate processes, manage infrastructure, and build CI/CD pipelines to speed up development and deployment. By integrating tools, monitoring systems, and fostering collaboration between teams, you will help the organization deliver high-quality software faster and with greater stability.

Professional Training/Experience:

• Hold a relevant professional qualification, engineering/numerate degree, or equivalent experience.
• Hold a minimum of 5 years' experience in the software industry, ideally delivering infrastructure.
• Experience with process-driven approaches (e.g. Agile, Scrum, Kanban).
• Cloud / Kubernetes certifications a plus

Skills and Abilities:

Essential Experience:

• 4+ years experience in Devops / SRE / Platform role
• Experience working with Jenkins and Terraform
• Experience of Kubernetes
• Experience working on Linux based infrastructure
• Knowledge of version control software e.g. Bitbucket, Github
• Experience with private and public cloud solutions at scale
• Strong scripting skills in languages such as Perl/Python/Groovy/Java/Bash

Desirable Experience:

• Experience with observability tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, DataDog
• Experience of data platforms (in particular Postgres and MongoDB)
• Experience working with Docker and Docker orchestration tools.
• Experience automating and orchestrating workloads for large-scale enterprise organizations
