Caret is seeking a senior Quality Engineering and DevOps leader to drive a test automation first strategy across enterprise applications in a fully remote US environment.

You will work with engineers to enforce CI/CD, collaborate with Support to ensure production quality, and shape tooling roadmaps for automated testing, performance, and deployment. Ideal candidates have hands-on automation and 5+ years leading QA/DevOps in agile teams.

Formación

• 7+ years of experience as a DevOps/System Engineer or Technical lead
• 4+ years of experience implementing/managing CI/CD pipelines
• 5+ years of hands-on experience developing automation/performance testing code
• Experience supporting agile teams in developing tests (service, integration, functional)
• Experience with automation (CI/CD), monitoring, and IaC approaches
• Experience with REST services and modern cloud architecture
• Experience with microservices, containers (Docker) and related tooling

Job Location: Nationwide Remote - Remote, CA 92121

Salary Range: $115,000.00 - $125,000.00 Salary

The ideal candidate is a self-starter, has built quality engineering and DevOps automation projects and is well-versed in state-of-the-art tools and technologies for DevOps organizations.

Quality Engineering and DevOps Leadership:

· Work side by side with other engineers to enforce a 'test automation first' strategy to test case execution; ensure CI/CD pipeline key integration to drive product quality

· Establish strong working relationships with the Support organization to ensure quality is measured and maintained once code reaches production

· Implement performance testing, scalability and security testing practices and methodologies

· Recommend tools and own their roadmap technologies and processes to improve automation and regression testing as well as automated CI/CD pipelines and release deployment capabilities based on the needs of the engineering teams. Examples of tools are automation frameworks, performance testing frameworks, build status dashboards, release management automation, CI/CD pipelines, etc.

Quality and DevOps Automation Governance:

· Implement and perform rollout of Caret Quality Engineering and DevOps Automation processes and metrics, aligning them with business/customer needs and fast paced company dynamic goals.

· Define baseline for measurements/metrics to quantify and benchmark Quality and DevOps effectiveness, adjusting processes and tools for continuous improvement.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

· Ability to estimate Quality Engineering tasks and participate in Sprint planning

· Passion for customers. Listens to understand. Asks the right questions. Gets to the heart of the matter and uses that insight to provide value.

· Expertise in designing and implementing automated testing solutions for enterprise applications across the application layers (i.e., UI, data, and service layers) and to guide engineers to build automation and performance testing friendly code and components

· Experience in monitoring, profiling, and performance-tuning tools

· Experience with automation (CI/CD), effective monitoring, and infrastructure-as-code methodology is highly desirable

· Experience working with REST services and understanding of modern cloud architecture.

· Experience in implementing CI/CD, rolling deployment/upgrade model using well known frameworks

· Experience in automation testing during CI/CD

· Experience in distributed source control systems such as Git

· Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure and experience in testing micro-services, containers, dockers is a plus

· Experience with automation technologies like Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM (Azure Resource Manager), Ansible, SaltStack, Chef, Puppet, or similar is a plus.

Education and experience:

· Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field required is strongly preferred.

· 7+ years of experience as a DevOps/System Engineer or Technical lead

· 4+ years of experience implementing/managing CI/CD pipelines.

· 5+ years of hands-on experience in developing and coding automation/performance testing code, coding testing harnesses or frameworks.

· 5+ years’ experience in supporting agile teams in developing all level of tests, such as service test, integration, and functional end-to-end tests, using cutting edge technology (microservices, Docker, Azure, Postman, Test Rails, Visual Studio, Sele

The compensation information below is provided in compliance with job posting disclosure requirements.

Pay range:$115,000 - $120,000 USD Actual base pay will depend on varying circumstances, including the position, location, individual qualifications, market finances, and other operations business needs.

Depending on the position, compensation may also include commission, bonuses, etc. Potential for bonuses is based on company performance and potential for merit increases is based on performance.
