Job summary

CareCentrix is seeking a Platform Software Engineer to join our DevOps team and bridge software development with platform operations through automation, tooling, and platform engineering solutions. You will build tools, automate deployments, and create self-service capabilities to improve developer productivity and platform reliability.

Ideal candidates have a strong software foundation, experience with CI/CD, cloud technologies, Kubernetes, and automation.

Qualifications

• Min. 3 years of software development or related engineering experience.
• Experience with Java / Spring Boot, Python, Node.js, or React.
• Experience with REST APIs and relational databases.
• Understanding of SDLC and Agile development methodologies.
• Experience with Git, source control best practices, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with scripting and automation using Python, PowerShell, and Groovy.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS preferred), Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

Job description

We are seeking a Platform Software Engineer to join our DevOps team and help bridge the gap between Software Development and Platform Operations through automation, tooling, and platform engineering solutions.

This role is ideal for a software developer who enjoys solving operational challenges through code. Working closely with DevOps, Development, Infrastructure, Database, and Security teams, you will build tools, automation, and integrations that improve developer productivity, simplify application deployments, and enhance platform reliability.

The ideal candidate has a strong software development foundation, experience with modern CI/CD practices, and an interest in cloud technologies, Kubernetes, and automation. While this position resides within the DevOps organization, the primary focus is applying software engineering principles to improve operational efficiency, developer experience, and software delivery.

• CloudFormation, Ansible, or helm
• Jenkins or other CI/CD platforms

• Monitoring and observability tools such as Grafana, Prometheus

Additional Considerations

This role is remote but may require occasional on-site attendance for meetings in one of our facilities in Tampa, Hartford or Overland Park, KS.

Pay Range: $90,000 - $100,000 / year plus corporate bonus incentive. The pay range included in this posting reflects future growth / earning potential.
