Job summary

CoStar Group in Irvine, CA is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to support multiple software products with a focus on automation, CI/CD, and scalable cloud infrastructure. The role combines development and operations in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience with mass-scale architectures, IaC, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms, and is comfortable working in a hybrid on-site/remote setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required from an accredited university.
• 5+ years of experience managing heavy web traffic sites with mass-scale architecture.
• Infrastructure as code using CloudFormation, Terraform or similar tools.
• Strong Kubernetes experience and cloud platform familiarity.
• PowerShell or Bash scripting proficiency.
• Experience with CDN configuration and global traffic management.

Responsibilities

• Automate and optimize CI/CD pipelines across multiple products.
• Manage scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS/Azure/Google Cloud and on‑prem where applicable.
• Collaborate with IT and business teams across brands like Apartments.com and LoopNet.
• Improve observability, performance and efficiency across systems.
• Support development and operations through automation and rapid iteration.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree required from an accredited, in-person, not for profit university or college
• A track record of commitment to prior employers
• 5+ years’experiencewith managing heavy web traffic sites using mass scale architecture with a developer focus
• Solid sizing and estimation techniques for small to medium size tasks and projects
• Infrastructure as code usingCloudformation, Terraform or similar platforms
• Heavyexperienceusing AWS or Azure or Google cloud
• Strong understanding of Kubernetes environments and supporting tooling
• Foundational understanding of AI/ML concepts and practical application as it applies to improving workflows, observability and team efficiency
• Heavyscripting supportwith PowerShell or Bash
• Conceptual understanding of SQL and No SQL databases, with the ability to evaluate and select appropriate solutions based on performance, cost and technical fit.
• Experiencewith configuring Content Delivery Networks (CDN) for performancecachingand global traffic management.
• Familiarity with infrastructure foundation components of large networks in AWS and on-prem (e.g., systems & network administration, DNS, hypervisors, containers, databases, multi-datacenters).

Nice to Haves:

• Experiencewith enterprise monitoring tools in areas of APM, system vitals, synthetics and RUM.
• Programming languages / some developer background with either Java, C#,Python, NodeJS
• Server-less architecture methodologies
• Familiarity withPCIcompliance and remediation
• Mobile application support (iOS, Android)
• Experiencein REST API or Microservicesdevelopment
• Agile methodologies and working on short sprint cycles

This position offers an annual salary range from $169,000 - $202,000 determined by relevant skills and experience, in addition to a generous benefits plan.
