Job summary

CoStar Group is seeking an accomplished DevOps Engineer II to join our Irvine, CA team, supporting multiple software products across the organization. The role emphasizes CI/CD, IaC, and cloud platforms.

You will collaborate with IT and product teams, automate deployments, monitor systems, and drive operational excellence in a fast-paced environment. The position follows a 4 days onsite, 1 day work-from-home schedule with competitive compensation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited, in-person, not for profit university or college is required.
  • 3+ years’ experience in a DevOps environment with a developer focus.
  • Infrastructure as code using Cloudformation, Terraform or similar platforms.
  • Experience using AWS or Azure or Google cloud.
  • Understanding of Kubernetes environments and supporting tooling.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure foundation components of large networks in AWS and on-prem.

We are currently seeking an accomplished DevOps Engineer to join our team, while supporting our multiple software products and brands across the organization, such as Debt Solutions, CoStar Suites, LoopNet, Apartments.com, Homes.com,andTen-X. This position is located in Irvine, CA and has the work schedule of 4 days onsite and 1 day work from home. What qualities are we looking for? An individual with strong communication skills, expresses oneself clearly both verbally and in writing. Provides help to management, including hiring, on-boarding, training and performance reviews. Motivatesteammembers and assesses performance,keeps management updated onteamperformance.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited, in-person, not for profit university or college
  • A track record of commitment to prior employers
  • 3+ years’ experience in a DevOps environment with a developer focus
  • Experience with sizing and estimation techniques for small to medium size tasks and projects
  • Infrastructure as code using Cloudformation, Terraform or similar platforms
  • Experienceusing AWS or Azure or Google cloud
  • Understanding of Kubernetes environments and supporting tooling
  • Familiarity with infrastructure foundation components of large networks in AWS and on-prem (e.g., systems & network administration, DNS, hypervisors, containers, databases, multi-datacenters).
Nice to Haves:
  • Experiencewith enterprise monitoring tools in areas of APM, system vitals, synthetics and RUM.
  • Foundational understanding of AI/ML concepts and practical application as it applies to improving workflows, observability and team efficiency.
  • Programming languages / some developer background with either Java, C#, Python, NodeJS
  • Conceptual understanding of SQL and No SQL databases, with the ability to evaluate and select appropriate solutions based on performance, cost and technical fit
  • Experiencewith configuring Content Delivery Networks (CDN) for performance caching and global traffic management.
  • Scripting experience with PowerShell or Bash
  • Server-less architecture methodologies
  • Experiencein REST API or Microservicesdevelopment
  • Agile methodologies and working on short sprint cycles

This position offers an annual salary range from $139,000 - $165,000 determined by relevant skills and experience, in addition to a generous benefits plan.
