Job summary

The Baer Group in St. Louis, MO seeks a Senior DevOps Developer to design, implement, and support modern DevOps solutions, focusing on IaC, CI/CD pipelines, containerized applications, and cloud-native deployments.

The role involves building and maintaining IaC/CaC, automating deployment and testing, and guiding customers on DevOps best practices. Onsite work Monday–Thursday, 12-month duration; US citizenship with active Secret Clearance is required.

Qualifications

Overview

We are seeking a Senior DevOps Developer to design, implement, and support modern DevOps solutions while guiding customers on DevOps best practices. This role will focus on infrastructure automation, CI/CD pipeline development, containerized applications, and cloud-native deployments. The ideal candidate has strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), configuration management, automation, and container orchestration.

Description

• Design, implement, and maintain DevOps solutions and CI/CD pipelines.
• Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Configuration as Code (CaC).
• Automate deployment, testing, and operational processes.
• Build, deploy, and support containerized applications and Kubernetes environments.
• Create and maintain virtual machine and container images.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to improve automation, reliability, and performance.
• Provide technical guidance to customers on DevOps practices and cloud automation.

Requirements

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Azure Bicep, or ARM Templates.
• Experience with Configuration as Code using Ansible.
• Proficiency in PowerShell or Bash scripting.
• Experience with container technologies including Docker, Kubernetes, AKS, Helm, Podman, K3s, or similar platforms.
• Experience creating and managing virtual images using Docker or Packer.
• Experience building and supporting CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with automated testing tools such as pytest.
• Strong understanding of DevOps principles, automation, and cloud technologies.
