Job summary

ELM Utility Services is seeking a highly experienced DevOps Engineer IV to lead large-scale DevOps, cloud infrastructure, and automation efforts.

The role focuses on building scalable Azure-based platforms, designing robust CI/CD pipelines, implementing IaC practices, and improving observability and release processes. You will mentor teams and drive reliability, security, and operational excellence across the organization.

Qualifications

7+ years of professional DevOps, SRE, Platform, or Cloud Engineering experience.
Strong experience with Microsoft Azure and Azure services.
Advanced experience building CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or comparable platforms.
Strong experience with IaC technologies such as Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates.
Strong understanding of Git-based workflows and release processes.
Scripting with PowerShell, Bash, Python, or C#.
Experience with Docker and container orchestration.
Observability platforms and practices: logging, metrics, tracing, dashboards, alerting.

Responsibilities

Lead large-scale DevOps and automation initiatives from design through implementation and operational support.
Design, implement, and maintain reliable CI/CD pipelines for consistent, auditable delivery.
Develop and maintain infrastructure as code and automated configuration for cloud infra and apps.
Improve deployment strategies, release management, environment consistency, and production safety.
Mentor engineers in DevOps, cloud, CI/CD, observability, reliability, and operations.
