Job summary

ELM Utility Services is seeking a highly experienced DevOps Engineer IV to lead large-scale DevOps, cloud infrastructure, and automation efforts.

The role focuses on building scalable Azure-based platforms, designing robust CI/CD pipelines, implementing IaC practices, and improving observability and release processes. You will mentor teams and drive reliability, security, and operational excellence across the organization.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional DevOps, SRE, Platform, or Cloud Engineering experience.
• Strong experience with Microsoft Azure and Azure services.
• Advanced experience building CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or comparable platforms.
• Strong experience with IaC technologies such as Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates.
• Strong understanding of Git-based workflows and release processes.
• Scripting with PowerShell, Bash, Python, or C#.
• Experience with Docker and container orchestration.
• Observability platforms and practices: logging, metrics, tracing, dashboards, alerting.

Responsibilities

• Lead large-scale DevOps and automation initiatives from design through implementation and operational support.
• Design, implement, and maintain reliable CI/CD pipelines for consistent, auditable delivery.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure as code and automated configuration for cloud infra and apps.
• Improve deployment strategies, release management, environment consistency, and production safety.
• Mentor engineers in DevOps, cloud, CI/CD, observability, reliability, and operations.
