Kastech Software Solutions Group in Raleigh, NC seeks a Senior Automation Engineer to lead infrastructure provisioning, build/deployment automation, and CI/CD improvements. You will drive hands-on automation across Linux, Ansible, Terraform and cloud tooling.

You will collaborate with DevOps, architects, developers, and DBAs, own release reliability, and participate in on-call coverage as needed, shaping scalable automation that accelerates software delivery.

Formación

• Hands-on automation experience with Linux, Ansible, and IaC tooling.
• Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or Shell.
• Experience building and improving CI/CD pipelines and release processes.
• Proficiency with Terraform, Ansible Tower/AWX, Docker, Kubernetes.

We are looking for a skilled Senior Automation Engineer to lead infrastructure provisioning, build and deployment automation, and CI/CD improvements. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Linux, Ansible, scripting, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).

• 7+ years: Linux OS and software patching/upgrades using Ansible.
• 7+ years: Build/deployment automation, including database changes.
• 7+ years: Automation scripting using Python, Bash, and Shell.
• 4+ years: Infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Terraform and Ansible.
• 3+ years: Git/Bitbucket source control, branching, merging, and administration.
• 2+ years: Docker and Kubernetes for application packaging and container orchestration.
• 2+ years: CI/CD pipeline development and management using Jenkins, TeamCity, and Ansible.
• 2+ years of AWS infrastructure experience.
• Strong knowledge of Linux, Ansible Tower/AWX, YAML, and automation best practices.
• Experience troubleshooting deployments, validating configurations, and improving release reliability.
• Lead infrastructure provisioning and application build/deployment automation.
• Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks and reusable automation scripts.
• Improve CI/CD workflows and software release processes.
• Collaborate with DevOps, architects, developers, deployment teams, and DBAs.
• Participate in evening and weekend on-call support as required.
