Job summary

VIVA USA Inc. is seeking a Senior Automation Engineer to drive automation across build, deploy, and operation of client applications.

You will lead infrastructure provisioning, CI/CD improvements, and release reliability using Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform within an AWS environment. The role requires strong Python/Bash scripting, Linux expertise, and collaboration with DevOps, architects, and DBAs to streamline deployment processes.

Qualifications

• Experience automating Linux OS and patches across multiple environments using Ansible.
• Hands-on experience with BitBucket or Git source code management.
• Automating build/deploy processes including database changes with Ansible.
• Experience developing automation scripts with Python/Bash/Shell.
• Experience building and packaging applications with Docker and managing containerized workloads with Kubernetes.
• Experience in provisioning, configuration, and environment management using Terraform and Ansible.
• Hands-on experience developing and managing CI/CD pipelines using TeamCity, Jenkins, Ansible.
• Strong knowledge of AWS and infrastructure is highly desirable.

Job description

The clientrequires the assistance of a Senior Automation engineer to help automate and improve the build, deploy and operation ofclient Applications.

The primary role is to lead Automation effort of infrastructure provisioning, build and deploy activities forclientapplications. This position must demonstrate a solid understanding of AWS infrastructure and software release life cycle.

The role involves creating and maintaining Ansible playbooks, troubleshooting automation issues, ensuring consistent and reliable deployments across environments, and collaborating with DevOps and application teams to enhance CI/CD workflows. Strong knowledge of Linux, Ansible Tower/AWX, YAML, automation best practices, and infrastructure-as-code principles is required. Experience with debugging deployments, validating configurations, and improving release reliability is aplus.

The position will work with IT management to improve the software engineering processes and practices associated with continuous integration and Continuous deployment (CI/CD) of application changes. This position will interact with the architects, developers, deployment Team, and Database Administrators to ensure automation of various tasks.

Skill - Required / Desired - Amount of Experience

• Experience with automating Linux OS and software patches and upgrades across multiple environments using automations tools like Ansible - Required - 7 Years
• Hands on Experience (like branching, merging, configuring, and administering) with BitBucket or GIT Source Code Management tool - Required - 3 Years
• Hands on experience in Automating build/deploy process including changes to database using tools like Ansible - Required - 7 Years
• Experience developing automation scripts, operational utilities, and workflow scripts using Python/Bash/Shell - Required - 7 Years
• Experience building and packaging applications with Docker, and managing and scaling containerized workloads using Kubernetes - Required - 2 Years
• Experience in infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and environment management using Terraform and Ansible - Required - 4 Years
• Hands on experience developing and managing CI/CD (DevOps) pipeline using tools like Teamcity, Jenkins, Ansible - Required - 2 Years
• Strong knowledge and understanding of Amazon web Services and infrastructure - Highly desired - 2 Years
