Job summary

Jobgether is seeking a hands-on DevOps Engineer to lead enterprise-wide source control, CI/CD, and platform standardization in a fully remote role within the United States.

Responsibilities include consolidating Git platforms, administering GitHub/GitLab environments, and building automated pipelines with security and governance in mind. Collaboration with cybersecurity, IT, and platform teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Active Secret clearance required.
• U.S. Person eligible for export controls.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 10–12 years in DevOps/platform engineering.
• Hands-on with GitLab and GitHub administration.
• Experience building enterprise CI/CD across multiple teams.
• Knowledge of trunk-based development and GitFlow.
• Proficiency with GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, and Azure DevOps.
• Cloud platforms: AWS and Azure (GovCloud noted).
• IaC and automation: Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible.
• Docker and Kubernetes familiarity.
• Experience with S3-compatible storage (MinIO).
• Experience with secret management (HashiCorp Vault).

Responsibilities

• Define and own the enterprise source control strategy and governance.
• Lead Git platform consolidation and repository migrations across environments.
• Administer GitHub Enterprise Cloud/Server and GitLab environments.
• Design, build, and optimize CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps).
• Develop reusable pipeline templates and shared workflows.
• Operate container registries (Harbor) and S3-compatible storage (MinIO).
• Manage centralized secrets (HashiCorp Vault).
• Enforce access controls, backups, DR procedures, and standards.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity, IT, and platform teams; document standards.
