Job summary

KBR in Colorado Springs, CO is hiring a Principal DevOps Engineer to drive cloud-native DevOps for AFRL prototypes. The role blends Kubernetes, Helm, and Azure Government expertise in a high-security environment. Onsite work is required with flexible hours.

You will own pipelines, containers, and deployments across air-gapped environments, partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable infrastructure for national security projects.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building and deploying Kubernetes on cloud platforms (Azure Government preferred).
• Production Kubernetes experience with Helm and container orchestration.
• DoD 8140 / Security+ or equivalent (must obtain within 90 days of start).
• Active U.S. government TS clearance with SCI eligibility (U.S. citizen).

Responsibilities

• Own the CI/CD pipelines that deliver containerized applications to Azure Government clusters.
• Design and maintain deployments for air-gapped Kubernetes environments.
• Containerize legacy applications and build Helm charts for production.
• Architect cloud-native networking and system designs for classified workloads.
• Diagnose and resolve pipeline and deployment issues; lead Kubernetes troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support multiple tech stacks.
