Job summary

KBR in Colorado Springs, CO is seeking a DevOps Engineer to combine cloud technologies with DevOps practices. You’ll build and deploy Helm charts to Kubernetes clusters, and develop GitLab CI/CD pipelines to build, scan, publish, and deploy containers and Helm charts.

You will containerize applications, design cloud-native network architectures, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support diverse tech stacks in a fast-paced, onsite environment.

Qualifications

• Security clearance TS/SCI required (U.S. citizen).
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent with relevant experience.
• DoD 8140 Cyber Workforce qualification (Security+ or equivalent).
• 2+ years in Cloud Engineering, Pipeline engineering or Kubernetes development.
• Proficient in Kubernetes; Dockerfile writing and containerization.
• 2+ years of GNU/Linux, shell navigation, and Git.

Responsibilities

Other degrees will be considered with relevant work experience or certification.* DoD 8140 Cyber Workforce qualification (Security+ or equivalent)* 2+ years of experience with deep knowledge in one or more of the following fields: + Cloud Engineering + Pipeline engineering + Kubernetes development* Proficient in Kubernetes* Experience writing Dockerfiles and containerizing applications.* 2+ years of experience with GNU/Linux commands, shell navigation, and Git version control.* Ability to research and solve complex technical problems independently.**Desired:*** Kubernetes and Cloud Native Associate (KCNA) certification or similar* Experience with AWS or Azure cloud services, certification (AWS Cloud Practitioner, Azure Fundamentals or similar) is preferred.* Competence in building pipelines, preferably with GitLab.* Experience delivering a cloud native application.* Familiarity with OAuth2, OIDC flows, or KeyCloak.* Experience with IaC tools, especially Terraform.* Experience deploying to air-gapped networks.* Experience with Cert Manager, OpenSSL, and Public Key Infrastructure.* Experience with event streaming services, especially Kafka.**Basic Compensation: $93,700 - $120,000 (For Colorado Springs, CO Only)**
