Job summary

Lennar in Austin, TX seeks a Lead DevOps Engineer to champion cloud, automation, and IaC initiatives. The role mentors DevOps engineers and partners with security, SRE, and software teams to strengthen CI/CD, monitoring, and scalable infrastructure.

You will design robust AWS architectures, implement Terraform/Ansible pipelines, manage secrets with Vault, and push advanced deployment strategies such as blue/green and canary releases. Leadership and collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on DevOps, Cloud Infrastructure, and CI/CD automation.
• Expert‑level knowledge of AWS services (IAM, EC2, ECS, EKS, Lambda, RDS, S3, VPC, Route 53).
• Strong proficiency in Terraform, Ansible, and HashiCorp Vault.
• Experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
• Solid background in containerization and Kubernetes (EKS, Docker, Helm).
• Expertise in observability and monitoring tools (AWS CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack).
• Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python, Bash, or PowerShell.

Responsibilities

• Lead cloud infrastructure design, automation, and optimization for AWS for scalability, security, and high availability.
• Architect and manage CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions; enforce IaC and GitOps best practices; enable progressive delivery (blue‑green, canary).
• Lead cloud security initiatives, observability, incident response, and disaster recovery; guide DevSecOps tooling usage.
• Mentor and develop junior DevOps engineers; drive cross‑functional collaboration and DevOps roadmap decisions.
