Job summary

Software Resources, a trusted staffing partner, is seeking a Principal Engineer I – Senior DevOps Engineer for a major corporation in Phoenix, AZ. This hybrid role offers four days on-site with Fridays remote, focusing on DevOps platform governance, CI/CD pipelines, and enterprise AI tooling.

You will mentor teams, drive security and compliance, build Power BI dashboards, and collaborate with IT leadership to modernize pipelines across multiple development stacks.

Qualifications

• 8+ years IT experience with 5+ years supporting DevOps platforms.
• Hands-on with enterprise development platforms such as Azure DevOps and/or GitHub Enterprise.
• Experience building reusable AI components and AI-powered tooling.
• Strong SDLC and DevSecOps knowledge; capable of leading cross-functional teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with IT partners.

Responsibilities

• Define and support target state architecture for DevOps tooling across multiple stacks.
• Implement governance and security controls for AI-assisted workflows.
• Leverage AI agents to accelerate development, testing and documentation.
• Develop Power BI dashboards and reports for DevOps.
• Mentor teams on secure coding, pipeline security, and modern DevOps practices.
• Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture and QA to stay current with trends.
• Support audits with evidence and documentation; ensure compliance standards.
