Job summary

MITRE Corporation seeks a Senior Multidiscipline Engineer with emphasis on DevOps and AI to join a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team. You will architect and deliver CI/CD pipelines, containerized deployments, and MLOps workflows across cloud and on-prem environments.

The role requires hands-on experience with Python/Java, cloud platforms, and Agile methodologies, plus a minimum 3 days on-site per week. Strong mentorship and collaboration across teams are valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related technical discipline with 5+ years of related experience; or Master’s with 3+ years; or PhD.
• Hands-on experience across SDLC using Python, Java, or C++.
• Experience designing DevOps practices: automation, CI/CD, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and scalable distributed systems.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and collaborative software development.
• Strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills; on-site presence required 3 days/week.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, prototyping, and delivery of DevOps and AI/ML capabilities for systems engineering.
• Architect CI/CD pipelines, containers, and MLOps across cloud/on-prem environments.
• Apply AI/ML (including LLMs) to improve engineering workflows and automate complex tasks.
• Promote modeling across teams and advance Systems of Systems interoperability.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate across multi-disciplinary teams.
