Job summary

Chainlink Labs is seeking an experienced Senior SRE / Platform Engineer to design and scale our Kubernetes-based CI/CD and developer environments. You will build control planes, operators, and automation that empower all product teams to ship faster and more reliably.

You will own automation-first platforms, collaborate across orgs, and shape reliability with modern observability, OpenTelemetry, and multi-tenant infrastructure. This role is global, remote, and overlaps EST hours where possible.

Qualifications

• 6–9+ years in SRE / Platform / Infrastructure Engineering.
• Proven experience scaling Kubernetes in high-throughput production environments.
• Deep Kubernetes expertise beyond operating clusters — internals, scheduler behavior, custom resources, and cluster-scale failure diagnosis.
• Experience building platform infrastructure, control planes, or Kubernetes Operators.

Responsibilities

• Design and build infrastructure primitives that scale CI/CD, build systems, and developer environments across the engineering org.
• Operate the Kubernetes-based control plane behind our CI/CD platform, including autoscaling, GitHub Apps, and org-wide automation.
• Develop core infrastructure components like Kubernetes Operators and scaling automation adopted by product teams.
• Build systems that define how engineering teams build, test, and deploy, improving reliability and scalability.
