Job summary

Chainlink Labs is seeking an experienced SRE/Platform Engineer to design and scale infrastructure that underpins our CI/CD platform, build systems, and developer environments.

You will help operate the Kubernetes-based control plane and build Operators and automation that product teams rely on, reducing bespoke tooling across the org. The role emphasizes automation-first mindset and reliability at scale.

Qualifications

• 6–9+ years in SRE / Platform / Infrastructure Engineering.
• Proven experience scaling Kubernetes in high-throughput production environments.
• Deep Kubernetes internals knowledge beyond operating clusters — scheduler, CRDs, and cluster-scale failure diagnosis.
• Experience building platform infrastructure, control planes, or Kubernetes Operators.
• Strong distributed systems and production reliability experience.
• Terraform/GitOps ownership — designing and owning automation, not just running playbooks.
• GitOps workflows (Flux / ArgoCD) experience.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD platforms at scale: GitHub Actions (self-hosted runners, workflows-as-code), GitHub Apps, and build systems.
• AWS/cloud infrastructure production experience.
• Proficiency in Go (strongly preferred) or another systems language.
• Track record of building infrastructure primitives rather than primarily performing support/operations.

Responsibilities

• Design and build the infrastructure primitives that define how our CI/CD platform, build systems, and developer environments scale across the entire engineering org.
• Help build and operate the Kubernetes-based control plane behind our CI/CD platform.
• Develop core infrastructure components — including Kubernetes Operators and scaling automation — adopted by product teams.
• Build systems that shape reliability and scalability of the developer experience org-wide; not just operational support.
