Job summary

The City of Milwaukie seeks a Development Services Senior Engineer to lead advanced reviews of private development proposals and ensure alignment with City standards and land use regulations.

You will coordinate infrastructure, manage development applications, and provide technical guidance across departments, while upholding our values of accountability, accessibility, efficiency, collaboration, and equity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or closely related field from an accredited college or university.
• At least five (5) years of progressively responsible civil engineering experience including development review, infrastructure design, or municipal engineering.

Responsibilities

• Private Development Review: approve engineering plans for commercial, industrial, and residential structures through permit process.
• Infrastructure Coordination: ensure development-related improvements comply with City, State, and federal standards.
• Project Management: coordinate development applications, timelines, interdepartmental coordination, permitting, and stakeholder communication.
