Job summary

QTS Realty Trust is seeking a Senior Development Project Engineer for Data Center Construction MEPR to support design, preconstruction and construction activities across projects. You will interact with Facilities, Contractors, Designers, Engineers, and Vendors daily, ensuring smooth execution and timely updates.

You will help manage development programs, budgets, schedules, and executive‑level reviews, while coordinating entitlements, permitting, and procurement with internal teams to deliver

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management is required.
• Experience in commercial construction practices and procedures is required.
• 1+ years of professional experience in construction management or related field.
• Experience with mission-critical data center facilities is preferred.
• Experience managing MEP trades is preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist Development leadership and Project Manager with day-to-day activities.
• Maintain budgets, schedules, and status reports for multiple projects.
• Support master development program design and capital budget.
• Assist with entitlement and permitting needs for sites.
• Review change order requests and negotiate pricing.
• Coordinate submittals with site stakeholders and ensure procurement processes.

Together, we do great things.Who You Are & the Impact You Will Have:The Senior Development Project Engineer (Data Center Construction MEPR) is primarily responsible for assisting with the design, preconstruction and construction activities on a given project(s).
