Job summary

QTS Realty Trust in the United States is seeking a Development Project Manager QA/QC (Q-Systems) to lead design, preconstruction and construction activities on assigned data center projects. You will coordinate with Facilities, Contractors, Designers, Engineers, Commissioning Agents, Vendors and Operations staff to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.

The role requires a BS in science/engineering, 5+ years in commercial construction, proficiency with MS Office, and travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
• Five or more years of professional experience in commercial construction practices.
• Experience with Lump Sum, CM@Risk, and Design Build project delivery methods.
• Microsoft Office suite, specifically PowerPoint for executive updates; Excel for budgeting.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.

The Project Manager will interact on a daily basis with Facilities, Contractors, Designers, Engineers, Commissioning Agents, Vendors, and Data Center Operations staff and should have both written and oral communication skills commensurate with this level of regular communication.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.Manage multiple projects on a campus(es) and maintain updated budgets, schedules, and status reports for eachCreate and communicate updates on development program & project status on a monthly basis suitable for executive level reviews. Effectively present information in a manner to support efficient decision makingWork with QTS stakeholders, design, and construction teams to create a master development program for site(s), including a complete campus design solution and capital budget.Manage entitlement and permitting needs for each assigned site project(s)Implement and manage multi-phased site development plans to achieve time, budget, and quality standards in a predictable fashion.
