Job summary

Ascendus seeks a Senior Development Officer to lead institutional fundraising efforts and manage a portfolio of donors in support of its mission to help low-to-moderate income entrepreneurs. You will craft high-quality grant requests and reports, coordinating with the Development & Communications team to secure impactful funding.

With 4–6 years of frontline fundraising experience, you will drive opportunity identification, proposal writing, and tight stewardship, reporting to the Chief

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of 40 institutional accounts and draft grant proposals.
• Draft and submit grant reports to secure funding targets.
• Aim to secure $1.5M annually from solicitations within a $4.5M goal.
• Identify new funding prospects and convert a portion to approved grants.
• Collaborate with CEO and CDO on strategy, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship plans.
