Job summary

The Museum of Flight in Seattle, WA is seeking a Senior Development Coordinator to lead the planning and execution of fundraising events. You will work with the Development team, senior leadership, and external partners to ensure events align with mission and brand, while managing budgets and donor communications.

The role emphasizes donor stewardship, endowment reporting, and collaboration across departments to deliver high-quality experiences for donors, sponsors, volunteers, and vendors.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in nonprofit management, communications, marketing, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of fundraising, event management, or development.
  • Proven track record of planning and executing fundraising events.
  • Experience managing budgets and financial reporting.
  • Experience preparing donor and endowment reports with accuracy.
  • Experience in developing and managing event collateral and donor communications.
  • Experience in volunteer recruitment, training, and management.
  • Experience maintaining and managing supplies and inventory for events.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end planning, logistics, vendor management, and execution of fundraising, stewardship, and cultivation events.
  • Monitor budgets, timelines, contracts, and event outcomes including RSVPs and ticket sales.
  • Provide on-site volunteer coordination and leadership during events.
  • Prepare and distribute endowment reports to donors with accurate stewardship.
  • Develop event collateral and coordinate with marketing for brand consistency.
