Job summary

The Museum of Flight is seeking a Senior Development Coordinator to lead the planning, coordination, and execution of Development events, collaborating with the Development team, senior leadership, and external partners to ensure mission-driven events.

The role emphasizes detail-orientation, strong organization, and excellent donor service, with responsibilities spanning budgets, donor reporting, collateral development, and on-site event leadership to deliver impactful donor experiences.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in nonprofit management, communications, marketing, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in fundraising, event management, or development, preferably in a nonprofit setting.
  • Proven track record of planning and executing successful fundraising events.
  • Demonstrated experience managing budgets and financial reporting.
  • Experience preparing donor and endowment reports with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Experience in developing and managing event collateral and donor communications.
  • Experience in volunteer recruitment, training, and management.
  • Experience maintaining and managing supplies and inventory for events or development functions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end planning, logistics, vendor management, and execution of fundraising, stewardship, and cultivation events in alignment with organizational goals and brand.
  • Monitor budgets, timelines, contracts, and event outcomes including RSVPs, ticket sales, and seating.
  • Provide on-site volunteer coordination and leadership during events.
