Job summary

Rincon Search Group partners with a leading MedTech manufacturer in Western Connecticut to hire a Senior Product Development Engineer. This role centers on taking ownership of complex mechanical design and manufacturing projects from concept through production readiness.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience designing tooling, fixtures, or precision mechanical components, strong CAD and GD&T skills, and a proven ability to lead cross-functional teams in a regulated manufacturing

Qualifications

  • Significant experience with mechanical design and development.
  • Hands-on experience with tooling, fixturing, or precision mechanical systems.
  • Strong CAD and GD&T capabilities.
  • Experience working with complex manufacturing processes and precision equipment.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot, optimize, and validate engineering solutions.
  • Strong project leadership and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with both external and internal stakeholders.
  • Experience mentoring engineers, technicians, or other technical personnel preferred.
  • Medical device or other highly regulated manufacturing experience preferred.

  • Design and develop precision tooling, fixtures, mechanical components, and manufacturing solutions.
  • Take ownership of projects from early development through production readiness.
  • Solve challenging mechanical and manufacturing problems through hands-on engineering.
  • Collaborate with external stakeholders and internal teams to develop technical solutions and drive projects forward.
  • Serve as a technical leader in external meetings and cross-functional project teams.
  • Mentor engineers and technicians and potentially provide direct leadership to technical staff.
  • Develop, test, optimize, and validate new processes and manufacturing approaches.
  • Support the transition of new products and processes into production.
  • Drive continuous improvement and contribute to the development of advanced manufacturing capabilities.

Senior Product Development Engineer - MedTech | Western Connecticut

We are partnering with an innovative MedTech manufacturer to hire a Senior Development Engineer. This is a high-impact opportunity for an experienced engineer to take ownership of complex, high-profile projects focused on developing sophisticated medical technology and advanced manufacturing solutions.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience designing tooling, fixtures, components, or other precision mechanical solutions and be comfortable taking complex engineering challenges from concept through implementation.

This individual will also have significant internal and external visibility, working closely with customers and cross-functional teams. Depending on experience and organizational needs, the role may include technical leadership and oversight of technicians, so a strong aptitude for mentoring and developing others is important.
