Job summary

Sterling Engineering in Minneapolis seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead complex automation projects through concept, design, build, validation and delivery, taking a technical leadership role across the full lifecycle.

You will mentor engineers, collaborate with customers and suppliers, implement robust machine design, GD&T, 3D CAD (SolidWorks), and ensure compliance for medical device applications.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of mechanical design experience (or 10+ years in custom automation with a technical diploma/certificate).
• Solid 3D CAD experience, SolidWorks preferred.
• Strong machine design, manufacturing, GD&T, and engineering analysis expertise.
• Experience with automation, pneumatics, machine safety, and complex mechanical systems.
