Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a senior Development Lead to guide multi‑discipline teams on large Sustainability Infrastructure projects. You will drive engineering, process, and financial analyses, build budgets and schedules, develop energy savings models, and mentor engineers while coordinating with sales and customers to deliver value.

The role requires a strong engineering background, 10+ years of experience, and the ability to work with cross‑functional teams in a hybrid environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering is required.
• CEM Certification is required or preferred.
• PE license and LEED AP are preferred.
• Experience designing or selling building systems, HVAC, energy modeling, or facility management is required.
• Strong leadership and communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead development teams to achieve project objectives across large programs.
• Provide technical, process, or financial support to Sales during design and customer engagements.
• Develop budgets, schedules, and energy savings/ROI models for proposals.
• Mentor Development Engineer personnel and ensure high‑quality work.
• Assess design risk and ensure compliance with safety and industry standards.
• Present to customers and C‑level buyers as needed.
