Job summary

Western New England University in Springfield, MA is seeking a Senior Director of Development/Director of Development to lead fundraising across three colleges. The role reports to the VP for Advancement and drives donor engagement to support the university's mission.

The position develops and implements a comprehensive fundraising plan, strengthens donor relationships, identifies new prospects, and partners with the Advancement Team to boost philanthropy and impact.

Qualifications

Seven years of fundraising experience.
Some management/supervisory experience.
Experience securing major gifts by managing a portfolio and fostering relationships.
Highly developed leadership and organizational skills.
Track record of working with senior leaders to support development activities.
Proven ability to develop guidelines and metrics to track projects.
Interpersonal skills to connect with senior management and staff.
Commitment to ethical practices in fundraising.
Demonstrated ability to manage conflict.
Bachelor’s degree required.

Responsibilities
