Job summary

Hong Kong Metropolitan University seeks a Senior Development and Alumni Affairs Manager to lead fundraising and alumni engagement for the Chinese Mainland and HKMU Shenzhen Research Institute support. You will drive donor programs, build partnerships, and manage research funding activities with a focus on strategic growth.

Ideal candidates hold a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years in development or alumni relations, and possess a strong Mainland network, leadership and bilingual

Qualifications

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree with at least 8 years of relevant experience in development or alumni relations.
• Well-established Mainland network including government and philanthropic sectors.
• Experience in fundraising and soliciting major gifts in higher education or non-profit sectors.
• Sound knowledge of Hong Kong’s tertiary education sector.
• Excellent leadership, organizational and communication skills.
• Fluent in English and Chinese, with Putonghua proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategies to secure philanthropic and research grant support in collaboration with Mainland partners.
• Identify, cultivate, solicit prospective donors and oversee comprehensive donor stewardship.
• Support Mainland grant-funded projects and promote funding opportunities.
• Strengthen Mainland alumni relations through programs, events and communications.
• Enhance the University’s fundraising capability for new campus development.
• Undertake other duties as assigned.
