Job summary

Amazon Web Services, Inc. is seeking a Software Development Engineer to join the Programming Foundations Team within Amazon Builder Experience. The role focuses on the Language Experience team, building and evolving shared software platforms used across the company.

You will design and build developer tools, maintain build systems, and collaborate with engineers to improve reliability and usability of services in a company-wide impact role.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language.
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture of new and existing systems.
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team.

Responsibilities

• You will design and build developer tools used by Amazon engineers.
• You will work with languages and libraries powering Amazon's services.
• You will maintain build tools, compilers and package managers.
• You will collaborate with engineers across Amazon to address pain points.
• You will write code, review code, and help others debug issues.
