Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Software Development Engineer for the Programming Foundations Team within Amazon Builder Experience. You will design and build developer tools used by Amazon engineers and collaborate across teams to improve languages, compilers and package managers.

You will contribute to a broadly used shared software platform, tackle complex distributed systems, and help evolve the core tooling used by nearly every service at Amazon.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture of new and existing systems.
• 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
• 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered software applications, tools, systems, and services using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
• 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience.
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language.

Responsibilities

• Design and build developer tools used by Amazon engineers.
• Work with languages and libraries powering Amazon's services to improve usability and reliability.
• Maintain build tools, compilers and package managers; contribute to 3PSW repository mirrors.
• Collaborate with engineers across Amazon to address pain points and build effective solutions.
